Prepare for Your Case Review

You do not need to research legal arguments before getting started. Bring your records together so we can review your information and confirm the services available for your case.

Representing yourself (pro se)

You are representing yourself (pro se). ChildSupportDefense.com does not require you to hire an attorney or obtain attorney approval to use these services. Our document-preparation checks are not attorney review or legal representation. You are responsible for reading every document, confirming its accuracy and completeness, and deciding what to sign, serve, or file. Verify the supporting facts, cited authority, court requirements, and deadlines before use. Do not sign or submit material you know is false or unsupported. You may choose to seek independent legal advice.

STEP 1

Gather your case records

Upload your current support order, court notices, pending filings, payment records, and relevant financial documents. Include all pages and attachments. If an issue is urgent, upload the related notice first and identify any hearing or deadline.

STEP 2

Missing documents?

Upload what you have and tell us what is missing. Contact the clerk of the court where your case was filed to ask how to obtain copies or access the case file. Access, copying fees, and photography policies vary.

STEP 3

Make each page readable

Photograph one page at a time in good light, keeping all four corners visible. Check that the text is sharp and nothing is cut off. Keep pages in order and retain your originals. If photography is not permitted, request copies to scan or photograph later.

STEP 4

Confirm the basic details

Check the court name, state, case number, participant names, contact information, and dates against your records. Identify unclear or missing information instead of guessing.

Ready to upload?

Review our prices, create your account, and upload your records. We confirm the scope and itemized price before payment. Case-specific materials and preparation instructions are provided with the services you purchase.

Use the phone app to capture your documents

Uploading records does not extend a deadline or stop enforcement. If arrest or a court deadline is imminent, act promptly. Court self-help resources and independent legal assistance are options; hiring an attorney is not a condition of using our services. No same-day review or filing is guaranteed.
